Prevention or Retardation of Disuse Atrophy

Disuse atrophy is the shrinking or wasting away of tissue or organ due to a reduction in the size or number of cells resulting from inadequate cell nutrition due to poor circulation and disuse resulting from confinement, immobilization, or lack of exercise.
